Responsibilities within my role have covered:

Staff recruitment for the whole organisation from job design, selection interviewing, employment contracts to induction stage

Acting as Project leader of High Performance Culture Project Team (cultural change programme) feeding into the organisation's HR strategy.

Performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, including dismissals, compromise agreements and sickness absence management, advising on 3 rounds of redundancies.

Advising and guiding managers and Senior Management Teams on a wide range of both high-level and practical day-to-day HR issues to ensure effective and workable solutions.

Policy development, plus writing and delivering related in- house training on policy and employment law.

Ensuring successful Investors in People accreditation for over a 10 year period.

Building up the HR department from scratch, leading a small HR team and introducing an HR computerised database.

In all of the above I have used my technical knowledge as well as my personal skills as a great communicator, organiser and diplomat to provide a great service both to internal and external customers. I am well-respected by my managers and peers, have built excellent relationships throughout my working career and believe I had made a real contribution to the success of my employers.
